PRESS: UAC prepares components list for import-substituted SSJ100
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has prepared a list of main components that Russia needs to localize in order to construct a new import-substituted version of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) plane, Vedomosti business daily reported on Wednesday.
The list includes 24 companies manufacturing 64 components. The companies are both subsidiaries of state industrial corporation Rostec and private firms.
“There is work to replace around 40 imported systems and components under the project. We have already chosen the Russian suppliers following auctions, and contracts have been signed on most of the positions,” Vedomosti quoted a representative of UAC’s company Irkut as saying.
The person said that more than 30 companies from various industries are taking part in the SSJ-New project. The model is to be certified in 2023, and the mass production of around 20 aircraft annually is to begin in 2024 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The person also said that the project lies within the existing contracts with the Industry and Trade Ministry and will cost around 50 billion rubles, engines excluded.
